Dr. Yasmine I. Usmani, MD, FRCSC, OBGYN, GREI

Partner and Medical Director

Dr. Usmani completed her Honours undergraduate degree in Life Sciences at Queen’s University and then went on to earn her medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada after completing her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Saskatchewan. She then pursued subspecialty training in Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Western Ontario. As a Partner at the Reproductive Care Centre, she hopes to continue the tradition of ethical practice and delivering patient-centered, accessible care that has been the foundation of practice at RCC. She has a special interest in the ethics around reproductive tourism and making clinics a welcoming and inclusive environment for those seeking care from all walks of life. Read more.

Dr. Clive Lee, MB, BSC, FRCSC

Partner and Physician

Dr. Lee obtained his medical degree from the University of London in England. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Manitoba. He went on to complete his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at University of Western Ontario. Dr. Lee manages a busy practice within RCC and the city of Toronto. He is trained in laparoscopic surgery and he remains on staff at the Humber River Regional Hospital. Read more.

Dr. Dan Nayot B.Sc., M.Sc., M.D., FRCSC., GREI

Physician

Dr. Dan Nayot trained at internationally recognized institutions, obtaining his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario, and completing his Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at the University of Toronto. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Nayot completed a Royal College fellowship in Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at McGill University, Canada's largest University-based reproductive centre. Continuing his academic pursuits at Harvard University, Dr. Nayot received his Masters of Science degree in Clinical Epidemiology. Dr. Jennifer Lam M.Sc., M.D., FRCSC., GREI

Physician

Dr. Lam’s love of reproductive medicine began during her Honours degree in Life Sciences at Queen’s University through courses in reproductive biology and research on sperm capacitation. She went on to study embryology, obtaining a Master of Science from the University of Ottawa and subsequently her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toronto. Read more.

Our Associates

Dr. Leyland

Dr. Leyland is a Professor and Associate Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He has recently completed two terms as Chair of the University Department of OB/GYN and is Chief of OB/GYN for the Hamilton Health Sciences. Prior to taking this position he held the position of Associate Professor, University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine and the Medical Director of the Women's, Children's and Family Health Program and Chief of OB/GYN at the St. Joseph's Health Centre. Dr. Leyland graduated from the University of Toronto as the Cody Silver Medalist and completed a Master of Science in Health Care Management from the Harvard School of Public Health Summa Cum Laude. His clinical and research interests concern the provision of and the improvement to access of minimally invasive reproductive surgical options for women. Dr. Leyland and his colleagues at McMaster have a two-year comprehensive research and clinical fellowship training program in advanced gynecological surgery. He is the Past President of the Canadian Society of Minimally Invasive Gynecology. He has more than 150 scientific papers, Clinical Practice Guidelines and book chapters published

Marc Anthony Fischer, BSc (Hons), MD, FRCSC

Dr. Fischer is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Urology (Department of Surgery) with a cross appointment in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at McMaster University in Hamilton Ontario. Dr Fischer completed his Urology residency in Halifax and a two-year fellowship in Clinical Andrology, Microsurgery and Research Genetics at The University of Toronto (Mount Sinai Hospital and The Hospital for Sick Children). Dr Fischer has been associated with the Fertility Clinic since 2002 and provides clinical consultation and surgical services for patients with male fertility challenges, Erectile Dysfunction and Men’s Health. Dr. Fischer’s research interests include Male Infertility and Microsurgery for Male Infertility, The Genetic Aspects of Male Infertility, Erectile Dysfunction and Low Testosterone Therapies. He has published numerous articles in well-respected journals, authored textbook chapters and has presented his research at international meetings.
